The CDC’s childhood immunization schedule has significantly expanded since 1986. Back then, it primarily focused on measles, mumps, rubella, polio, diphtheria, tetanus, and hepatitis B. Today’s schedule includes all those vaccines and dozens more, like hepatitis A, varicella (chickenpox), human papillomavirus (HPV), and meningococcal disease.  Browse our site to see some of the severe side effects from these shots.
